About the role
Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and organize incoming skis and snowboards
- Assign tuning and repair tasks to technicians
- Perform tuning and repair of skis and snowboards using Wintersteiger machines
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality
- Guide technicians in machine operation and hand tuning techniques
- Oversee organization of completed equipment
- Maintain tuning machines, benches, and hand tools
- Perform and oversee shop closing procedures
- Assist with training and coaching new technicians
- Communicate workflow and operational concerns to the Tune Shop Manager
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience in ski and snowboard tuning or repair
- In-depth knowledge of ski and snowboard construction and repair techniques
- Proficiency in providing guidance or oversight to other technicians
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in ski mounting, torque testing, and DIN settings
- Completion of Wintersteiger equipment courses
