Tune Technician

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort incoming skis and snowboards according to established procedures
• Tune, wax, and repair skis and snowboards using hand tools and Wintersteiger machinery
• Inspect all tuned equipment to ensure quality and performance standards
• Organize and stage finished equipment for timely delivery
• Perform end-of-shift cleaning and maintenance of tuning machines and tools
• Complete nightly closing procedures and prepare the shop for the next shift
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transferring gear between resort locations
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and dock lifts safely

Requirements

• Knowledge of ski and snowboard construction and repair techniques
• Understanding of tuning fundamentals including edging, base repair, and waxing
• Ability to stand, walk, or be on feet for extended periods
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
• Skill in completing tasks with precision under time constraints

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience with Wintersteiger equipment
• Certification in ski binding mounting, DIN settings, and torque testing
• Professional experience tuning skis or snowboards in high-volume environments
