Trust Associate

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive administrative and client service support to a Trust Officer and their account portfolio.
• Assist in delivering a personalized client experience to high-net-worth clients and beneficiaries.
• Act as a point of contact for external stakeholders in the absence of the Trust Officer.
• Maintain daily surveillance over cash positions and provide necessary reports for remedial attention.
• Create and input accurate accounting entries for payments, asset realization, and fee collection.
• Prepare detailed fee calculations for Estate and Trust accounts in accordance with industry practices.
• Assemble information regarding assets in new accounts and ensure the preparation of opening inventories.
• Prepare routine correspondence and documentation for internal oversight groups and court approvals.
• Ensure strict adherence to the Bank’s risk culture, global sales practices, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma.
• Enrolment in Financial Industry courses (e.g., CSC, IFIC, STEP Canada, or ICB).
• Working knowledge of asset management and administrative procedures.
• Basic knowledge of Trust Accounting principles.
• Strong PC skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
