Truck Sales Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of each sale, including call/contact reports, quotes, specifications, and sales orders
• Call on potential customers and prospects to develop new relationships and partnerships
• Provide high-level service to all customer calls and walk-ins
• Develop and maintain industry and product knowledge related to the trucking industry
• Follow-up with existing customers to ensure repeat and referral business
• Negotiate sales and pricing and assist buyers with financing and payment plans
• Ensure all required paperwork is submitted for financing and credit approval
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of used trucks
• Collaborate with the Department of Transportation to ensure smooth transfer of sales
• Prepare all documentation, including Bills of Sale, related to the sale of company trucks

Requirements

• Previous experience in equipment sales, heavy duty truck sales, or auto sales
• Knowledge of heavy duty trucks and equipment
• Excellent communication skills for technical conversations regarding truck sales
• Proven ability to build trust and maintain relationships
• Comfortable with face-to-face interaction, telephone calls, and cold calling
• Strong computer skills, specifically intermediate Microsoft Excel
