Truck Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, trailers, loaders, forklifts, and other equipment
• Identifying mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implementing repair solutions
• Following maintenance schedules for servicing, fluid changes, lubrication, and component replacements
• Conducting major and minor repairs including engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and brake system replacements
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage
• Adhering to all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Coordinating with the Parts Department to order necessary components and track inventory

Requirements

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach certificate (asset)
• Experience as a 310T Mechanic, preferably in heavy-duty trucking or maintenance
• Knowledge of heavy-duty truck components including engines and transmissions
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage workload
• Experience in the metal recycling industry (asset)
• Possession of own set of hand tools
