About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide courteous daily drop-off and pick-up services to assigned Thrift Stores using a 5-ton truck
- Operate standard warehouse equipment including forklifts, balers, compactors, and pallet jacks
- Assist with warehouse operations and cross-docking to facilitate product movement
- Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain logbooks, and adhere to all CVOR requirements
- Provide excellent guest service when assisting donors at the Distribution Centre
- Complete refuse runs to the landfill and comply with all Health and Safety policies
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in the safe operation of 5-ton trucks
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver's abstract
- Forklift certification
- 1 year of experience working in a warehouse environment
- Physical ability to frequently lift, carry, stand, walk, bend, and twist, including lifting up to 50 lbs
- Minimum Grade 10 education or equivalent
- Ability to work in various environments, including exposure to heat, cold, and dust
- Ability to undergo successful background and screening checks
