TRIO/Talent Search Program Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate academic and career readiness services for first-generation and low-income middle and high school students.
• Coordinate and deliver services at target schools, including academic advising, financial aid/FAFSA workshops, and test preparation.
• Lead logistics for major program initiatives such as residential summer programs, leadership development activities, and college tours.
• Supervise part-time staff, tutors, and student workers, including managing schedules and providing operational coverage.
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with federal TRIO regulations and data entry systems.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with school counselors, administrators, and community stakeholders.
• Assist with recruitment, eligibility verification, and enrollment of program participants.
• Support budget planning, tracking, and the preparation of annual performance reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, human services, or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in higher education or K-12 education settings.
• Excellent written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations from various academic, cultural, and socio-economic backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently.
