TRIO Assistant Academic Coach

Responsibilities

• Manage a student caseload to encourage goal achievement through self-assessment, reflection, and connection to campus resources.
• Support student learning by ensuring access to programs and services and removing barriers to enrollment and progression.
• Assist in developing and coordinating recruiting, outreach, and engagement programming.
• Implement strategies related to Student Excellence to increase retention and graduation rates.
• Maintain detailed and comprehensive student records and manage large amounts of data.
• Engage with stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure effective communication.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in student personnel services, adult learning & development, counseling, guidance, education, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint).
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated data management and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of student development and education policies.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field of study.
• Experience in advising, mentoring, tutoring, or student programming within an educational setting.
• Experience working directly with diverse student populations and recruitment efforts.
• Experience using early alert or advising systems powered by predictive analytics.
