About the role
Responsibilities
- Plant seedling trees and ensure proper seedling handling and care
- Select appropriate planting locations and inspect tree quality and spacing
- Accurately record and document the number of trees planted
- Load boxes, move equipment, and assist with camp infrastructure setup or takedown
- Actively participate in and support a culture of safety
Requirements
- Commitment to the spring and summer planting season (Early May to mid-August)
- Ability to carry 50+ pounds
- Willingness to live and work in remote bush camp settings
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, and oral comprehension)
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced, and ever-changing environment
- Self-motivated with the ability to work both individually and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- B.C. Intermediate or Advanced First Aid certification (or equivalent)
