Traverse Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise ground penetrating radar (GPR) operations, including image analysis and crew training
• Manage traverse logistics, including cargo movement, fuel transfers, and equipment maintenance
• Lead field staff in remote polar environments, providing daily tasking and performance evaluations
• Serve as safety coordinator by implementing environmental, health, and safety programs
• Conduct constant hazard assessments and route mitigation, including crevasse detection
• Maintain detailed operational records such as fuel figures, weather observations, and travel logs
• Coordinate air support and potential Search and Rescue missions

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in polar guide, management, or field operations
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
• Valid US Driver's License
• US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in polar region traverses
• Experience with project management, cargo movement, or fuel operations
• Experience operating heavy equipment or 24-hour facilities
