Traveling Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory direction of craft workers via the general foreman and foreman, managing productivity, safety, quality, and schedule adherence
• Act as a liaison between field engineering and craft to ensure compliance with construction drawings and specifications
• Coordinate effectively with other superintendents, subcontractors, and Kiewit leadership to ensure smooth workflow
• Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties
• Assist in schedule planning, including determining craft labor levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements
• Ensure consistent adherence to project rules, safety programs, and workplace behavior standards

Requirements

• Ability to travel and work on projects anywhere in the US up to 95% of the time
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in the construction industry
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a supervisory role
• Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines, managing subcontractors, safety regulations, and scheduling
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics, integrity, and safety
