Traveling Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead safety personnel on projects
• Provide high-level safety management and proactive safety solutions to project management teams
• Conduct training sessions, presentations, and safety orientations for new hires and subcontractors
• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety training programs and policies
• Manage all OSHA correspondence on the project
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance
• Develop the Pre-task Analysis process
• Manage safety risks and ensure compliance with industry best practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a construction-based health and safety role
• CHST certification required
• Advanced knowledge of excavations, concrete, and steel
• Expert knowledge of safety policies and procedures
• Proficiency with project management software such as Autodesk or Procore
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel or relocate for extended periods on a project-specific basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety or a related field
• Advanced safety certifications (ASP, CSP, or SMP)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
