Traveling Paving Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on concrete paving machinery including pavers, curb machines, finishers, rollers, and mixers
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and replace worn parts
• Assist in the setup, calibration, and adjustment of paving machines
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and inventory
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and standards

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Concrete Paving Mechanic or similar construction role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in construction machinery
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding tools
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant safety certifications such as OSHA or First Aid
