Traveling Hygienist

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive preventive and periodontal care including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, and oral cancer screenings
• Collaborate with a dedicated dental assistant to optimize schedules and manage sterilization
• Partner with dentists for hygiene exams and treatment plan recommendations
• Drive hygiene production by maximizing chair time and recommending preventive care
• Maintain strong patient relationships through clear communication and personalized education
• Work within the Team (Assisted) Hygiene model to ensure efficient, high-quality care

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current, active hygiene license in New York
• Current Anesthesia/Nitrous license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Proficiency with digital charting, x-rays, and intraoral cameras
• Ability to perform physical duties including sitting/standing for extended periods and manual dexterity
