Traveling Equipment Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Provide field leadership and management of equipment maintenance and readiness
• Ensure project safety and quality performance through supervision
• Control and track all aspects of equipment cost
• Provide senior management with equipment recap reports
• Manage training, development, coaching, and morale of direct and indirect reports
• Maintain team cohesion among district and joint venture partner employees
• Use company data systems to record and track equipment maintenance and utilization

Requirements

• Ability to travel 95% of the time
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical related field
• Knowledge of construction safety and federal/provincial requirements
• Broad knowledge of engineering and construction methods
• Basic computer skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Willingness and enthusiasm for frequent travel, sometimes on short notice
