Traveling Electrical Field Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering on EPC projects within the Oil, Gas, and Chemical (OGC) market
• Manage electrical planning, scheduling, procurement, and field execution
• Assist in the interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
• Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and cost estimates
• Prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Partner with Superintendents and Field Engineers to provide mentoring and leadership for the electrical discipline
• Ensure quality control, manage material tracking, and maintain exceptional owner relations

Requirements

• Degree in Construction Management or a related field
• At least 3 years of electrical construction experience
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Knowledge of OSHA and construction safety requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel and relocate anywhere in the country as required by business needs
• Ability to work in various climates and environments on construction sites

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with SureTrak, Hard Dollar, Revit, SAP, Pro Log, or Primavera “P6”
