Travel Consultant

Responsibilities

• Sell international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, air, car, and hotel
• Develop long-standing relationships with members to build referral and repeat business
• Provide expert recommendations tailored to member expectations to enhance their trip experience
• Cross-sell relevant products such as the AAA Member Rewards Credit Card
• Share personal travel expertise and knowledge to assist members in planning itineraries

Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Proficiency in navigating computers, multiple web browsers, and Microsoft Office
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
• Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
• Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening
• Willingness to participate in the Travel Consultant Trainee program, which may require travel

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 or 4-year college degree
• At least 2 years of successful retail sales, banking, or leisure travel agency experience
• Experience working in a goal-oriented environment
