Trauma-Informed Leadership Student Worker

OR SATF 40-hour campus advocate training certification, Full time enrollment at University of Portland, Good academic standing
About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and provide UP-branded consent education and bystander intervention curriculum
- Facilitate trauma-informed service provision best practice workshops for campus partners
- Provide peer confidential advocacy support to survivors of gender and sexual harassment/violence
- Offer supportive listening and information regarding campus and community resources
- Mentor IVPSS interns through orientation, monthly 1:1 meetings, and regular support
- Plan, create, and execute campus events promoting healthy relationship skill-building
- Lead team meetings in the absence of the Coordinator and attend regular supervision meetings
Requirements
- Completion of the OR SATF 40-hour campus advocate training certification by the date of hire
- Full-time enrollment as a student at the University of Portland
- Maintenance of good academic standing
- Ability to start no later than the Monday prior to new student orientation
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience serving at least one semester as an IVPSS Intern
- Ability to present during live events and via audio/camera for media posts
- Experience in mentorship or survivor support provision
- Completion of coursework in counseling or helping professional skills training
