Responsibilities

• Transfer patients between care areas, ensuring proper identification, privacy, and safety protocols are followed.
• Perform EKG tests on in-patients when technicians are unavailable and report results to the primary RN.
• Provide unit secretary support, including order entry, assembly of patient records, and answering telephone calls.
• Maintain equipment by cleaning and maintaining gurneys after each use.
• Assist with patient call lights and notify appropriate personnel of patient needs.
• Adhere to all infection control, isolation practices, and emergency measures.
• Support the nursing team by distributing workload and assisting with hospital errands.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in an acute or skilled nursing environment providing direct patient care.
• BCLS or ACLS Certification.
