About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a trainer and advisor in road safety and regulatory compliance
- Advise drivers on best practices regarding road safety and compliance
- Manage follow-ups with transport managers regarding logbooks and safety rounds
- Collaborate with transport and fleet maintenance managers to monitor PEP and equipment compliance
- Visit various sites to inspect the quality and conformity of driver work
- Perform road assessments, audits, and training for new and existing employees
- Analyze, document, and follow up on road accidents, infractions, complaints, and near-misses
Requirements
- Class 1 FM license
- Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation
- Experience as a driver, inspector, trainer, or in a related role
- Strong understanding of SAAQ regulations and the Highway Safety Code
- Knowledge of compliance standards related to vehicle dimensions and weight
- Bilingual in French and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the DCE system
