Transportation Safety and Compliance Advisor

Responsibilities

• Act as a trainer and advisor in road safety and regulatory compliance
• Advise drivers on best practices regarding road safety and compliance
• Manage follow-ups with transport managers regarding logbooks and safety rounds
• Collaborate with transport and fleet maintenance managers to monitor PEP and equipment compliance
• Visit various sites to inspect the quality and conformity of driver work
• Perform road assessments, audits, and training for new and existing employees
• Analyze, document, and follow up on road accidents, infractions, complaints, and near-misses

Requirements

• Class 1 FM license
• Knowledge of dangerous goods transportation
• Experience as a driver, inspector, trainer, or in a related role
• Strong understanding of SAAQ regulations and the Highway Safety Code
• Knowledge of compliance standards related to vehicle dimensions and weight
• Bilingual in French and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the DCE system
