Transportation Lead

Responsibilities

• Organize daily deliveries and pick-ups for delivery employees based on geographic area and staff availability
• Assign, direct, and coach staff to ensure efficient operations and timely departures
• Respond to emergency delivery calls on a regular and on-call basis
• Ensure staff compliance with all regulatory requirements, including DOT, FDA, and Joint Commission regulations
• Maintain daily vehicle maintenance logs, incident reports, and accurate purchase order files
• Deliver and pick up medical equipment from homecare patients, providing basic instruction on equipment use
• Monitor delivery productivity metrics, such as mileage and number of stops made
• Assist with truck loading and special orders when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 5 years of related experience
• Minimum of 3 years of driving history
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of DOT compliance and regulatory requirements
• Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills
