About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate nightly campus transportation services, including Fixed Route Shuttle and Safety Escort operations.
- Serve as the primary coordination point for drivers, students, and the Department of Public Safety (DPS).
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls and make time-sensitive operational decisions to resolve service disruptions.
- Monitor daily transportation activity, including driver routes, schedules, vehicle usage, and on-time performance.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, record maintenance, scheduling support, and maintenance/service requests.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and operational audits to ensure safe and reliable service delivery.
Requirements
- Two-year degree or equivalent experience in transportation dispatch logistics.
- Proven experience in transportation coordination or a similar operations-based role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to work overnight shifts (6:30pm–2:30am) and a schedule that includes Wednesday through Sunday.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Experience multitasking in a high-volume, student-centered service environment.
