Transportation Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Transport residents and care providers to scheduled destinations safely and timely
• Assist residents with special needs, including carrying packages and assisting in/out of vehicles
• Operate wheelchair lifts and secure wheelchairs using proper devices
• Arrange transportation schedules and maintain detailed records
• Communicate with residents, families, and caregivers regarding scheduling and resident condition
• Perform vehicle inspections for fuel, oil, and tires, and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• Coordinate vehicle service appointments and routine maintenance
• Assist with front desk operational needs and package deliveries

Requirements

• 3 years of experience as a licensed driver
• Valid California Class C license with a clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with senior populations
• Ability to operate various vehicle sizes including vans and buses
• Proficiency in computer skills for scheduler programming
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate wheelchair lifts
• Ability to interpret map directions and communicate effectively in English
