About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure dispatch and close-out of all outbound shipments through the Ops Team
  • Prepare international shipping documents and file EEI when applicable
  • Create Hazmat documents and verify proper labeling
  • Review carrier equipment needs, door assignments, and daily load schedules
  • Communicate with carriers for swaps, live loads, and tracking updates
  • Manage cold chain shipments, including trailer temperature set points and packing lists
  • Reconcile open orders with outbound and staged freight throughout the shift
  • Validate pallet counts, load securement, and chain-of-custody transfers
  • Oversee loading area safety and ensure carrier adherence to safety requirements
  • Serve as work group lead and supervisory backup as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • HAZMAT certification
  • TMS experience (MercuryGate preferred)
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Transportation industry knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
  • Background in transportation and distribution
  • APICS CSCP certification
  • Power BI user-level experience
