Transportation Analyst

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply logistics policies, processes, and methodologies to support business initiatives
• Perform international export freight transactions in accordance with Federal and Regulatory agency guidelines
• Act as a site Subject Matter Expert for Export and Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations, including CFR49, IATA, and ICAO/IMDG
• Prepare, plan, classify, and create shipping papers for domestic and international DG shipments across all modes of transportation
• Collect and analyze data from multiple sources to support transportation and logistics business initiatives
• Interface with internal and external compliance organizations and respond to Customs and Border Protection inquiries
• Support the development of statements of work to secure cost-effective transportation services and analyze carrier performance

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in logistics or transportation
• 3+ years of experience communicating with senior managers, executives, customers, and government representatives
• 3+ years of experience multi-tasking within a team environment
• 3+ years of proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Must meet US Person status requirements as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years of experience in export shipment processing and compliance
• 3+ years of experience with documentation and certification requirements for dangerous goods
• 3+ years of experience with freight forwarding and various transportation modes (FTL, LTL, Air, Ocean, Small Parcel)
• 3+ years of experience in transportation management, data analytics, and route planning
