About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of colleagues to ensure shift KPIs are met in full and on time
- Supervise and coordinate all yard activities including receiving, storing, and shipping
- Plan and allocate resources for timely loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels and stock rotation accuracy
- Conduct regular yard inspections and coordinate maintenance needs
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as inventory accuracy and on-time delivery
- Coordinate with transportation providers to schedule pickups and deliveries
Requirements
- Supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution centre
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Yard Management Systems (YMS)
- Strong knowledge of yard management, inventory control, and transportation logistics
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Independent right to work in the UK
