Transport Shift Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage Depot Transport staff to execute traffic plans and meet service levels
• Control costs in line with budget and forecast expectations
• Manage resourcing for core and agency drivers through effective shift planning
• Reduce non-contract maintenance and damage spends via vehicle passports and defect monitoring
• Motivate and develop the team through training and personal development plans
• Manage incidents and accidents through investigations and the EOA system
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, site procedures, and MOT/service intervals
• Monitor Kronos for driver clocking and approve shifts
• Support service improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct monthly site audits to ensure adherence to Culina Group policy

Requirements

• Proven track record in the Transport & Logistics industry
• Previous supervisory experience in a busy transport environment
• Excellent understanding of Health and Safety processes
• Strong planning, organizing, and numeracy skills
• Effective communication skills at all levels
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• National and International CPC qualification
