Transport Safety and Compliance Advisor

Responsibilities

• Act as a trainer and advisor regarding road safety and compliance
• Advise drivers on best practices for road safety and compliance
• Manage follow-ups with transport managers regarding logbooks and safety inspections to ensure compliance with road regulations
• Collaborate with transport and fleet maintenance managers for PEP monitoring and transport equipment compliance
• Perform site inspections to evaluate the quality and compliance of driver work
• Conduct road assessments, audits, and training for new and existing drivers
• Analyze, document, and follow up on road accidents, incidents, infractions, complaints, and near-misses related to transport, providing recommendations as needed

Requirements

• Class 1 FM driver's license
• Knowledge of hazardous materials transport
• Experience as a driver, inspector, trainer, or in a related role
• Strong knowledge of SAAQ regulations and the Highway Safety Code
• Knowledge of compliance standards regarding dimensions and weight
• Bilingual in French and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and DCE system
