About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as a trainer and advisor regarding road safety and compliance
- Advise drivers on best practices for road safety and compliance
- Manage follow-ups with transport managers regarding logbooks and safety inspections to ensure compliance with road regulations
- Collaborate with transport and fleet maintenance managers for PEP monitoring and transport equipment compliance
- Perform site inspections to evaluate the quality and compliance of driver work
- Conduct road assessments, audits, and training for new and existing drivers
- Analyze, document, and follow up on road accidents, incidents, infractions, complaints, and near-misses related to transport, providing recommendations as needed
Requirements
- Class 1 FM driver's license
- Knowledge of hazardous materials transport
- Experience as a driver, inspector, trainer, or in a related role
- Strong knowledge of SAAQ regulations and the Highway Safety Code
- Knowledge of compliance standards regarding dimensions and weight
- Bilingual in French and English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and DCE system
