Transport Planner

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers to maximize utilization and efficiency
• Route vehicles to optimize revenue and ensure cost-effective delivery
• Coordinate loading and pre-loading activities to ensure timely departures
• Manage driver queries, debriefs, and attendance
• Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
• Maintain operational systems, POD management, and accurate data entry
• Analyze delivery data to ensure KPI performance and revenue targets

Requirements

• Previous transport operational experience
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
• Experience using a TMS system
• Experience in an FMCG environment
• Strong analytical and Excel capabilities
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPC qualification
