Transport Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Create and update daily run summaries to achieve delivery and collection deadlines
• Ensure service levels are maintained in conjunction with other departments
• Plan driver runs according to shift patterns, available hours, holidays, and sickness
• Ensure legal compliance regarding vehicle defects, services, and MOTs
• Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding start times, load information, and directions
• Adhere to all statutory, legal, health and safety, and safe systems of work policies
• Assist with disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, and substance misuse procedures

Requirements

• Proven knowledge of tachograph and driving rules and regulations
• Experience in transport planning and organization
• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Strong IT skills including MS Office
• Knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers’ hours
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Significant transport experience within an FMCG environment
• CPC National qualification
