Transport Allocator

Responsibilities

• Allocate drivers, vehicles, and freight to maximize fleet utilization and payload outcomes
• Coordinate day-to-day transport schedules and monitor service performance
• Respond quickly to operational disruptions and manage customer expectations
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service
• Work closely with drivers to support safe, compliant, and efficient operations
• Coordinate driver training requirements and maintain competency records
• Produce accurate operational reports and support weekly reporting activities
• Manage leave planning and workforce availability to support operational requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and operational efficiency
• Support safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and compliance requirements

Requirements

• Previous experience in transport allocation, scheduling, dispatch, or logistics coordination
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to prioritize competing demands and solve problems under pressure
• Strong planning, organization, and communication skills
• Sound computer literacy with the ability to learn operational systems quickly
• Knowledge of Australian transport regulations, fatigue management, and freight operations is highly regarded
