Transport Allocator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily freight allocation to subcontractors and drivers in line with customer requirements and operational plans
• Manage bookings, timeslots, and allocation boards to ensure alignment with load sheets and transport schedules
• Monitor service delivery and resolve issues including subcontractor changes, customer escalations, and day-to-day disruptions
• Communicate with drivers, planners, and stakeholders to confirm capacity and align next-day requirements
• Maintain accurate system data and support KPI tracking, reporting, and load visibility
• Promote safety compliance through monitoring activities such as coupling checks, fatigue compliance, and yard observations

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a transport or logistics operational environment
• Experience working with subcontractors and coordinating fleet and freight allocation
• Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including subcontractor networks and internal teams
• Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively under pressure
• Proficiency in using transport systems to manage bookings, allocation data, and workflows
• Strong safety focus with experience supporting compliance and KPI monitoring
