About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial contact for patients, their representatives, and staff regarding feedback.
- Communicate with all parties to capture feedback details with sensitivity, compassion, and care.
- Document feedback in the EPIC database and assign cases to designated transplant teams for follow-up.
- Monitor department voicemail, mail, faxes, and email for incoming feedback.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality while addressing sensitive issues.
- Facilitate efficient access to the hospital’s patient feedback process in coordination with the Office of Patient Relations.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience in patient advocacy or customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems independently and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and exercise good judgment.
- Ability to attend mandatory training classes after hours or on weekends with advance notice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1 year of experience in a hospital or medical setting.
- Experience using EPIC.
- Ability to serve as an administrator of a web-based database.
