About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide integrated medication management support to hospital patients face-to-face and via phone
  • Work alongside hospital clinicians to educate patients on specialty pharmacy services
  • Support medication adherence through outbound check-ups and securing refill prescriptions
  • Resolve insurance issues including prior authorizations and financial assistance coordination
  • Manage and update patient data using various software platforms and database applications
  • Identify medications requiring special storage, such as hazardous or refrigerated items
  • Assist with identifying necessary medical supplies like sharps containers and syringes

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple software applications simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • National CPhT certification
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), or oncology
