Transmission Engineer Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of transmission engineers and designers working on overhead line projects
• Oversee development of conceptual designs, routing evaluations, structure type selection, and cost/constructability assessments
• Review and approve detailed design deliverables including plan & profile drawings and structure loading packages
• Utilize industry standard tools such as PLS CADD, PLS Pole/Tower, and SAG10
• Coordinate schedules, workloads, and priorities to meet client requirements
• Collaborate with civil, structural, environmental, and electrical teams
• Provide engineering support during procurement and construction

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
• 8-10 years of overhead transmission line design experience
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD and related transmission design software
• Experience leading engineering teams or serving as a technical lead
• Solid understanding of NESC, ASCE, and utility-specific design standards
