Transition to Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise in system acquisition, transition to operations, and sustainment planning for SATCOM programs
• Develop and evaluate life cycle documentation including System Transition Plans, Materiel Fielding Plans, and Operational Acceptance plans
• Lead and manage system transition processes, facilitating timely criteria closure and collecting necessary artifacts
• Coordinate with Program Office, HQ Space Operations Command, and Delta 8 regarding operational capability requirements
• Participate in site survey planning, technical design reviews, and transition management working groups
• Monitor progress, identify potential risks, and document lessons learned for process improvement

Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle management and/or operations
• Experience with satellite communication systems testing
• Experience in weapon system transition to operations, support, and system fielding (OA, IOC, and site activation)
• Knowledge of the 12 Integrated Product Support Elements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in a technical field
• 10+ years of experience in DoD systems acquisition life cycle management
• Experience with MILSATCOM space or related operations
• Experience working with HQ SpOC staff or within a System Program Office
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Professional certifications such as INCOSE or DAWIA Program Management Level 1
