About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide governance and oversight for services supporting the transition management investment function provided by strategic partners.
- Establish clear processes, controls, and review frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary escalation point between investment teams (Portfolio Managers, Traders, Client Service) and Middle Office providers to resolve issues rapidly.
- Review key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk metrics (KRIs) to identify trends, control gaps, or service issues.
- Lead regular governance meetings and monthly service reviews with service providers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage risk and escalation processes by documenting service issues and implementing controls to mitigate future occurrences.
- Partner with internal teams such as Investment Operations, Compliance, and Technology to optimize the end-to-end operating model for transitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related analytical discipline.
- At least seven years of relevant industry experience in investment operations, transition management, or middle-office oversight.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end investment lifecycle and middle-office processes (trading, settlements, corporate actions) across multiple asset classes.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Deep understanding of portfolio transition strategies and financial markets.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on risk control and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree or professional qualification such as CFA or FRM.
- Experience with outsourced service models and governance frameworks.
- Exposure to investment operations systems or specialized transition management analytics.
- Project management experience or certification.
