Transfer Tractor-Trailer Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer trucks and on-board hydraulic systems on assigned routes to collect solid waste and recyclables
• Deliver collected materials to landfills, MRFs, or transfer stations safely and efficiently
• Secure all loads by ensuring tarps are properly closed and no loose trash is visible
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, daily truck reports, and route documentation
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and communicate mechanical issues to supervisors immediately
• Comply with all federal, state, and local safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Minimum of one year of commercial driving experience or a CDL school certificate
• Knowledge of air brakes on tractor-trailers
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds repetitively
• Ability to safely maneuver large vehicles in tight spaces and high-traffic areas
• Ability to meet relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
