Transfer Station Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a small team to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently
• Oversee daily operations of the recycling and transfer station to maintain productivity
• Promote a strong health and safety culture through inspections and hazard identification
• Manage on-site contractors and ensure compliance with permit requirements and site rules
• Maintain accurate operational records and report incidents or near misses
• Liaise with customers, drivers, and internal stakeholders for smooth site operation

Requirements

• Previous supervisory or team leader experience in waste management, recycling, or manufacturing
• Good knowledge of health and safety legislation
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience using basic IT systems for operational reporting
• Proactive and hands-on approach to operational and environmental standards
