About the role

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the daily transaction reporting cycle, including exception management, accuracy checks, and reconciliation breaks.
  • Investigate and remediate reporting breaks by identifying root causes through monitoring controls and data quality tools.
  • Track incidents and validation failures from inception to closure, maintaining incident registers and risk forms.
  • Produce committee reporting packs, monthly SLAs, and prepare agendas and minutes for governance meetings.
  • Monitor regulatory updates from the FCA, ESMA, and ASIC to ensure compliance with technical standards.
  • Test and verify regulatory changes and maintain transaction reporting procedures and audit-related documentation.
  • Identify and lead the delivery of operational process improvements.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in transaction reporting, specifically focusing on MiFIR/MiFID II.
  • Practical experience with daily exception management, reconciliation processes, and validation monitoring.
  • Proven ability to perform root cause investigations into reporting breaks.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting incident narratives and committee reports.
  • Proficiency working with data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to EMIR reporting (EMIR REFIT experience is a strong plus).
  • Awareness of ASIC derivative or transaction reporting requirements.
  • Experience preparing governance packs or SLA reports in a regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with Approved Reporting Mechanisms (ARMs) and NCA validation rules.
  • Scripting or automation skills such as Python or SQL for data investigation.
