Transaction Processing Manager – Custody Operations

Responsibilities

• Execute trade placement and post-trade processing for fund custody activities, including subscriptions, redemptions, and settlements.
• Coordinate with external parties such as order handling agents and transfer agents to confirm cash settlement completion.
• Investigate and resolve processing inquiries and breaks promptly, ensuring all outcomes are documented.
• Perform independent quality checks and supervisory reviews to validate accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
• Maintain and update standard operating procedures and control documentation to ensure audit readiness.
• Supervise daily task allocation, prioritize urgent items, and drive the closure of aged items.
• Produce regular performance reporting using key performance indicators (KPIs) and lead governance discussions.
• Identify opportunities for automation and the responsible use of digital tools to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in custody operations, middle-office processing, or fund services.
• Knowledge of the fund trade lifecycle, including capital activity and settlement processes.
• Experience performing quality control and supervisory review activities.
• Proven ability to investigate processing breaks and perform root-cause analysis.
• Strong risk and control mindset with experience maintaining documentation for audits.
• People leadership capability, including work allocation and coaching.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting hedge fund, mutual fund, or private equity operational workflows.
• Experience leading governance routines and presenting operational metrics to stakeholders.
• Experience identifying and implementing automation use cases.
• Experience using approved generative AI tools for operational tasks like summarization or trend identification.
• Project or change management experience.
