LGV Category C Driving Licence, Valid Driver CPC, Transport legislation knowledge, Waste or service industry experience, IT literacy
About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver training to drivers, loaders, operatives, and supervisors to ensure employees are fully equipped for their roles
- Assist depots in achieving Vehicle Gate Check, Crew Monitoring, and Route Risk Assessment targets
- Mentor staff by addressing and correcting unsafe or non-compliant behaviours
- Coach drivers to improve skills, reduce accidents, and prevent Operator Licence contraventions
- Conduct Depot-Based Training (DBT) on manual handling, vehicle defect checks, tachographs, and in-cab PDA usage
- Tailor training content to meet contract specifications and operational needs
Requirements
- LGV Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- Working knowledge of transport and relevant legislation
- Previous experience in the waste or service industry
- IT literacy with Microsoft Office Suite and business software
- Experience in a training role or as an experienced driver in waste management
