About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects involving the creation and editing of training programs, materials, and audit checklists.
  • Drive the scheduling, deliverables timeline, and overall results of training initiatives.
  • Influence continuous improvement of training standards, systems, and processes across sites and departments.
  • Develop and sustain processes to ensure required training is documented, with a focus on regulatory and safety compliance.
  • Define and review performance metrics to ensure consistent quality across all entertainment offerings.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Design and deliver impactful, interactive training programs tailored to specific roles for cast members both onboard and ashore.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Service Excellence Trainers at assigned sites to ensure consistent and effective training delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or Instructional Design.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an entertainment, hospitality, or tourism-related field.
  • Proven experience in training or facilitation and developing training programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, collaborative projects and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong documentation skills with experience maintaining detailed process records.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint) and familiarity with systems such as DLearn and Articulate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience within the cruise industry or a similar maritime environment.
  • Shipboard experience, particularly within entertainment operations.
  • Direct background in Entertainment Technical roles, Attractions, Port Adventures, or Youth/Family Activities.
