About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement onboarding and training programs for clerical staff and inpatient unit clerks.
- Deliver instructor-led training, orientation, and on-the-job education for new and existing staff.
- Assess training needs through collaboration with leadership and operational partners.
- Develop and maintain training materials, competency tools, and job aids aligned with clinical workflows.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, competency validation, and performance outcomes.
- Serve as the Safety Liaison for Nursing Clerical Services, promoting adherence to safety policies and emergency response procedures.
- Partner with Safety, Quality, and Infection Prevention teams to support compliance and staff readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Adult Learning, Education, Instructional Design, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in training, staff development, or education.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
- Proficiency with computer systems and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a healthcare environment, specifically within clerical or patient-facing operations.
- Experience with EPIC and MiChart.
- Background in instructional systems design and curriculum development.
- Experience with quality or process improvement initiatives.
