Training Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement onboarding, OJT, and continuous upskilling programs for production, engineering, quality, and logistics staff
• Build role-based learning paths with clear competency milestones and certification criteria
• Deliver instructor-led training and facilitate both classroom and shop-floor practical instruction
• Partner with EHS, Quality, and Engineering to create mandatory training on OSHA, LOTO, battery safety, and quality systems
• Administer the Learning Management System (LMS) and maintain training records in accordance with ISO standards
• Coordinate technical and cultural onboarding for China-expatriate engineers and managers
• Manage external training vendors and prepare annual training budgets
• Conduct training needs analysis and measure effectiveness through Kirkpatrick evaluations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of training or L&D experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of building shop-floor technical training for skilled-trade populations
• Hands-on experience with an LMS (e.g., Workday, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors)
• Strong instructional design and facilitation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a startup or greenfield manufacturing facility
• Familiarity with battery cell manufacturing processes
• ATD Master Trainer, CPTD, or equivalent certification
• OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour certification
• Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt or lean manufacturing background
• Knowledge of U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship frameworks
