About the role
Responsibilities
- Organize and conduct employee training programs across Florida and Georgia locations.
- Serve as the Training Element lead for the site Process Safety Management (PSM) team, including performing audits and maintaining regulatory training records.
- Own the Job Cycle Check (JCC) process to ensure employees receive optimal refresher training and comply with corporate standards.
- Act as the site representative on the corporate Training Development Network (TDN) to develop meeting agendas and improve computer-based training.
- Manage the monthly safety meeting program and ensure compliance with "Safety How" protocols.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and deliver safety training that drives operational discipline.
- Proctor and manage site progression testing and manage the Vector Learning Manager (VLM) system.
- Coordinate and conduct training based on MSHA standard part 48.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a mining, heavy manufacturing, or construction-related safety environment (or equivalent military experience).
- At least 3 years of mining experience to be eligible for MSHA train the trainer (Blue Card Holder) status.
- Train the Trainer certification or equivalent course on delivering effective training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications and database entry.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and follow-up actions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization, from plant employees to senior management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience conducting Incident Investigations (Root Cause Failure Analysis) training.
- High-level understanding of mining industry processes, equipment, and terminology.
- Capability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose solutions to improve mining processes.
