Training Program Specialist – Distribution Operations

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage operational training programs to support productivity, quality, and safety.
• Design standardized training materials, work instructions, and learning documentation to ensure consistent delivery.
• Conduct training needs assessments in partnership with operational leaders to identify skill gaps.
• Maintain training records, certifications, attendance tracking, and compliance documentation.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through performance metrics, observations, and feedback.
• Coach employees and mentor trainers by providing guidance, best practices, and development opportunities.
• Utilize various learning methods including instructor-led training, simulations, and hands-on exercises.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in training, learning and development (L&D), or operations training.
• Proven experience developing and facilitating training programs from concept through delivery.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or training tracking software.
• Post-secondary education or professional training certifications.
