Training Manager, Nuclear Operations

Responsibilities

• Establish programs, policies, and procedures for technical training including enrichment operations, maintenance, and radiological material handling
• Plan and oversee training material development, delivery, and revisions
• Hire and manage a team of trainers
• Consult with operations, engineering, and safety personnel on technical training impacts of process changes
• Interact with regulatory authorities (DOE, NRC, OSHA, EPA) during inspections
• Oversee training schedules, enrollment, and record maintenance for quality assurance compliance
• Assess organizational training needs and evaluate effectiveness through metrics and audits
• Manage training budgets and resources

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field
• Minimum ten years of experience in operations or technical training within nuclear or highly regulated industrial sectors
• Expert knowledge of Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) methodologies
• Understanding of regulatory compliance for nuclear or highly regulated facilities
• Familiarity with e-learning platforms and learning management systems
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Leadership experience in nuclear plant or fuel cycle facility operations
• Experience in fast-paced, highly technical environments
• Ability to develop and implement novel, efficient compliance methods
